That's a sharp color, I seen a newer Explorer that color and it looks really good! Another plus is it will be so much easier to keep her clean than that black was

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments.

I am going to order the painted door handles this comming week.
I'll have to investigate doing the mirrors.
I do agree with you guys about the painted bumpers, I wish it had the painted bummpers and front fascia like the monochromatic Lincolns do for 07.

Hllon, I did/do like the shorter box. The look of it on the supercab did take some getting used to, but it fitting in my garage won me over.

I'm not really sure if it is a pearl paint, it's called metallic, but it kind of acts like a pearl in the direct sunlight. I don't know that it will be much more forgiving than the black was with regards to showing dirt.

I'm still getting used to the shorter front doors.

Thanks for your comments

At first I too was disappointed that the bumpers were not color matched. After a bit I actually liked the way the bumpers matched the other chrome/polished SS accents! The mirror caps, levers on door handles, grill surround, bull bar.... If the bumpers were REALLY inexpensive, then I might consider swapping them out, but I like the look. I also got the black interior!! Smokestone and White Sand Tri are the two classiest colors IMO. Very rich yet subtle.

One more thing, it may not look right on your color, but I opted for the KR center caps. I think the center caps with the lugs showing detract from the classy look of your truck. They give the truck a very industrial/utilitarian look. They make a center cap similar in style to the KR cap, but where the KR cap has the AB color, it is still chrome with the blue Ford Logo. Just a thought....

PS: I just visited the Lincoln site and there is no White Sand Tri Coat. It does come in a White Chocolate Tri Coat though. Not sure if it's the same or not??? The bumbers are not painted. The small plastic bit on the bottom of the front bumper is color matched as opposed to black. If I had that then my bull bar would not go on.

I think that it is one of those very expensive nightmare colors if you need any paintwork.

Expensive? That's why you pay for insurance.

Wow, nice truck. I had an Explorer that was Pearl White. Close to what you have. The dirt kinda sneaks up on you, because it's not a bright white.
