That paint job looks great, I would do it the same on mine if I had the chance. After I painted the lower portion of my truck silver since I have a two tone. .
I did save those pics for future referance though

I actually work at Kentucky Truck Plant and used to paint there now I am on the engine line. I have painted hundreds of HD's. The flames are painted on using a stencil. The body comes through the prime booth first where it is primed and the lower final color is sprayed for two tones and HDs (often called their wet on wet process), they go through a oven and are flash dried, the two tones and HDs go to another line to be masked off. The HDs have the flames stencil or vinyl applied to the lower color and the two tones have the entire lower body panels covered. Next they go to the go to the basecoat booths where the upper body panels are painted. The robots paint the entire truck, over top of the stencils or masking paper. The trucks next go to de masking where the paper or stencils are removed, now you have flames present on the lower panels, the are flashed again and sent to be clearcoated. Hope this helps...

I prefer ghost flames over two tone. I was going to put HD flames on my 03 supercab, but decided to buy a new truck.

What do you guys think about real looking flames on our trucks. There is a guy that lives in my area who was on the tv show Musclecar this weekend painting flames on a race car. So I emailed him and he asked if I need anything done. I love the flames but I dont know how it will look on a dark stone metalic truck.

Here is some of his work I think its a f250.
