I say go with the Screw. I have a 10 yr old and a 3yr old who love the truck; plenty of room for both. W ehave taken many trips in it all in comfort. Having to still have a car seat in the truck, the Screw is definitely the only way to go.

I also agree, you and the wife needs to test drive both and see what she likes best. Because the last thing ya need is to hear her complain every time she goes to put the kid in & out of the truck. I would recommend the 5.5ft bed it’s shorter wheel base is easier to get around in them small parkin’ lots. I think the scabs are alot more sportier, but in your case I would grab the screw you'll need the extra room for all the baby'sccessories & just gettin' in & out of the back seat

If your planning on kids go with the Screw and you'll never regret it. I have no issues with the 5.5 bed. With a bed extender, http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=39168 ,
I've hauled 12' lumber with no problems.

Do the SCREW, I have 3 kids and yes, that full size back is VERY usefull for that, but I have been suprised at how many times I was glad I had that space AND the full size rear doors to put stuff other than my kids in. I have not had problems with my 5.5 bed but I guess that depends on what you are going to carry!

Ok then...

Thanks for the great advice... I'll definitely take the Boss with me to look and sit in them all... but it looks like based on many experiences that the Screw is the way to go.

Fitting it in my garage is definitely an imoportant factor, too!

What size garage do you have? Im storing my truck (SC 5.5ft bed) in my dad's garage while i finish my year in Korea, he says it fits fine. about 1-2 ft clearance on each side front and back. not sure what the demensions of his garage is for sure but i'd say its pretty average size...2 car

Sounds about the same size... mine may have a little more clearance if I figured right.

Looked at both the Scab and Screw, but needed the extra "full" seats in the rear, so I went with the Screw. I also opted for the front bench seats with fold down center as on occasion, will need to carry 6 adults.

My Screw is working out great, especially with the kids (ages 4 & 3).

As far as the bed, I got the 5.5' foot length which stills fits in my garage. I figured if I needed a longer bed, I will get a bed extender (someday).

There are great deals out there, good luck!

I have the Scab and a 4 y/o. It's been great EXCEPT for when in a parking lot and someone parks close getting in the back door's a biatch.
