blue tooth hands free ?

How good does the "Blue Tooth" work form MOSS ? And will it work with an after market head unit ? Is there any other cab mounted blue tooth systems out there ?

Try Brandmotion.com . They have a rail mounted unit that plugs into the stock sound system.

I'm putting a Parrot CK3100 in my truck. Just waiting on the adapter. I had this unit in my tacoma and it worked great. The adapter is plug and play to the stereo. No wires to cut. A call comes in it mutes your stereo and you listen over the speakers. there's a microphone you mount up on the a-pillar or visor that you talk into it. Real nice unit.

The moss one looks very close to how the Parott one works. I'd check to see if it syncs up with your phonbook. The parott kit does and this is a nice feature. That way you don't have to fiddle with your phone to make a call.

Here's the unit installed in my tacoma. I'm just waiting for the ford harness to come in and it's plug and play as well like the Moss kit

I put my parrott CK3100 in last night. I've got to say it's a great little unit. I ordered from parrottkits.com, and the wiring harness made the install a breeze. Well worth the money, imho.

I've got audiophile, sirius, and the mp3 6-disc, and this kit works with all of that.

Now I think my next thing I buy for my truck will be a dust rag. It doesn't look that bad in person, really.

Cool! Glad to see the harness is a breeze. My harness just came in so I should be installed it soon. I'm trying to hold off until Ipod unit comes in too. Thanks for the idea on mounting. I might remove my cigarette lighter and have the wire come through that hole and have the unit cover the hole. Probably going to run my microphone up the a-pillar like I had my tacoma as well.

Is there a lot of room behind the factory radio for all the wiring? It was a very tight fit with the tacoma.

Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, there is a ton of room below the radio and above the pullout cupholders. (I've got the 40-20-40 seat -- I'm guessing it's the ashtray for those with the floor shifter.) I just stuck the blue box to the top of the cupholder unit with some double sided sticky tape.

I wasn't sure about the placement of the unit, but I wanted it easy to see and I couldn't find a better place. The microphone pickup is good where I installed it. I'm sure up by the visors would be even better.

Excellent! Glad to know there's room. I may end up mounting like you as well. I won't know till I start poking around and hopefully not breaking anything.

Just and update. I finally installed my Parrot CK3100. Very happy with the results seeing that it works just like it did in my previous truck.

Here it is completed. I don't use my cigarette lighter at all and if I need a 12v outlet I still have another one.

I'll just post links for the rest of the pictures so I don't eat up bandwith.
I only velcroed the unit in place. I'm not into drilling my dash even though the piece is easily replaced.

Thanks! I typically take a ton of pictures while doing an install on my truck or quad.
