Passenger scuff strip

I have an 06 Scab XLT. Is there supposed to be a passenger side scuff strip like the one on the driver's side? I'm speaking of the black, stick-on plastic sill strip on the painted portion of the door sill or rocker panel.

So I guess Ford saved some big bucks by only installing it on one side. I just noticed because I touched up a couple of nicks on the passenger side.

I believe that the 04's had them on both sides, and then Ford decided to save a few pennies and from 05' and up they only put them on the drivers side.

My 05 has them on both sides.
My 05 only had it on the drivers side. I guess it was a mid year change, or it depened on what plant it came out of. My 05 was built in Dec 04 in Norfolk.

My 2005 XLT F150 was built in June 2005 at the Norfolk plant and it has it on both sides. My brother has a 2005 XL that was built in may 2005 and it doesnt have it on either side.

My '06 Screw only has it on the driver's side. I didn't even notice the difference until this thread.

Thanks.

Nassty did you install them over the factory strip on the driversside? or did you take it off? If so how hard was it to get off? Thanks

My 06 doesn't have one either, but the 04 that I had did. Just another way that Ford is trying to save a few pennies.
