5 miles round trip back and forth to work 3 days a week
8 miles round trip back and forth from school 2 days a week

Tank of gas lasts almost 2 weeks avg about 14 mpg. Would get better milage but by the time my engine gets warm and running good I'm there. i dont complain about ampg. I'd rather drive a f150 and get 10 mpg then drive a honda or toyota and get 25

I drive about 80 miles a day. And if let the tank go low I fill up about once a week. This time a year I keep the tank full for more weight. I do go through gas but as long as it stays below $2.50 a gallon it doesn't seem to cost to much. You will save money with the car. But I love driving my truck, My car (Mazda Speed6) just sits in my garage. If you only want one vehicle I would get the Truck.

He must have gotten a Versa, if new. Those freakin cars are tiny! I'm a sales manager for a Nissan dealership here in my town, and I can't think of anything much smaller than that.

I drive either a work truck or my personal truck to/from work, which is about 150 miles round trip, 5 days a week.

Work Truck:
2006 F-150 Supercab Longbed XL 4x2 w/ 5.4L V8 with +/-26,000 miles
24 gallon tank= about 300 miles a tank= 12-13mpg

Personal Truck:
2005 F-150 Supercrew XLT 4x2 w/ 4.6L V8 with +/-25,000 miles
30 gallon tank= about 500 miles a tank= 17-18mpg

The good news about the work truck is gas and maintenance is covered, even if I have to fill up every other day.

I have a 2004 lariat with the 5.4 and 4x4. I drive about 80 miles a day round trip, almost all of that is highway. I try to keep my speed right around 80 for most of the trip. I am averaging about 17.5 to 18 mpg. I have the 36 gallon tank and can go 550 between fills.

I have an 06 XL Super Cab with the 4.6 in it. I drive about 71 miles each way to work. That equals to being roughly 142-145 miles a day for my commute alone. I get anywhere between 16.5 and 19.5 mpg average to a tank. I fill up twice a week at about $60-65.00 a tank. My recomendation is if you can afford it get the truck. I don't mind the dollars it takes from me because it's a great truck.
Natty...

25 mile round trip for work. Most of my miles comes from going to the dunes [340mi round trip] or snowboarding [120mi round trip].

I am looking at averaging 20000mi a year. But hey, i bought it to drive it right!

I do 200 - 250 miles a day or 800 - 1000 miles a week.
I have about 17k on this truck and it was bought brand new beginning of October 06.
Good thing it's comfortable.

Matt
