Tank size on a 6 1/2' screw...

Seems like I read somewhere on this forum that if you order an F-150 screw with the 6 1/2' bed you get a smaller gas tank so you need to get the $95 upgrade to the 35 gallon tank. Is this correct?

You can get the 35.7 gallon tank on a crew with the 6.5' bed. Not sure what the regular tank is, but for the small amount of money, I'd go for the optional tank. Sure can't hurt with the 15 or so mpg these trucks tend to get.

I have the 6.5' screw and i dont know what the actual gallon capacity is on the regular tank, but ive never put more than 25 gallons in, so its prolly around a 26 gallon tank. id kill for the optional monster tank, im working a job in mission veijo right now, its about 45-50 miles one way and i have to fill up about every 3 days, its pretty annoying. if anyone knows where i can buy an aftermarket larger tank please chime in...

I have the 6.5' box. Just filled er up today. 118 litre at 81.9 cents per litre, just shy of $100 bucks to fill! My tank holds 140 litres or 38 gallons. Love the big tank. Can drive for a long time before having to stop to get gas.

27 gallon tank is standard with the 6.5 bed... optional 35.7 tank is GREAT.
