Yep, that's detonation. Had to Lean to do that damage.

You could reach 550-600 RWHP
Don't you need a better tranny, u-joint, trac bar, rear axle, cooling, tires, brakes, suspension if you are going to achieve this level of power?

I am always amazed at the level some people take these trucks to. Not to sound mean but I think your trucks going to fall to pieces with that much power. Heck mine already sounds like a rattling pile of sh.t right from the factory, there isn't much right with these trucks to begin with much less adding this to it.

Believe it or not I still like my truck and yours is probably much better.

You're right.. driving a 500HP truck with that much power like you stole it will certainly take it's toll on your trans and other drivetrain components.. So does every day, 205hp driving.. but that much power just speeds it up (the wear and tear that is).

Successfully getting that much power to the ground will require more than just a blower. The more power the engine makes, the more you will have to upgrade the rest of the drivetrain to handle it.

I do disagree about the big brakes though. Unless you're racing in traffic between stoplights, you don't need to stop on a dime. Uncorking that much power should only be done in proper places.

Looks like detonation... probably not from a leaning out problem.

this sums it up nicely http://www.superchargersonline.com/content.asp?ID=156
click on the PDF link on the bottom for the full report

The procharger is more efficient than a straight roots blower, but not by much. There would be a LOT of heat being created at 8psi, especially in a high flowing engine. Maybe your intercooler was dirty or something. Looks like your running one of those underhood hot air intakes too.

Running rich is not going to help if the air being crammed into your engine is 300+ degrees. Gasoline burns once it hits around 500 degs. Water injection would be needed for that thing.

I love the profile of his truck, very clean and aggressive without all the BS add ons!!! Looks Very "Detroit" !!!!
Lightnings didn't come with forged internals and they had superchargers...

The truck is runing but Iam having problems with the torque convertor the truck only made 250 rwhp, the air fuel is good the motor revs hard at top end with the cams but now the truck goes into engine fail safe mode, So iam going back to the dyno this weekend to fix the problems
