Does anyone running a K&N Intake on a 5.4 find it really weazes/whisles when you get on the pedal? Is this normal, my trucks been doing it since I installed the intake.

 

I have one. You can definitely hear it in there. What you are describing sounds just about like mine except for the whistling. It just sounds like a rush of air coming in. A definite improvement.

 

I never had a whistle on mine, although that's common...do a search for intake and whistle and I bet you'll find a page at least.

 

No noise hear. Just the sucking when you mash the gas. Check all your clamps and fasteners.

 

Thats crazy that you can hear the engine suck up its air now. I think it might be getting just a little bit more air haha. Maybe I should upgrade my exhaust now from the factory Harley one...

 

I have a 77 series and I could hear when I first had it installed, then I got my Magnaflow exhaust installed and only heard my exhaust. Now, I just installed my Edge and my exhaust is louder (or at least a different tone) and I can now also hear my intake again. It's not a wheasing sound, just something like a mini drone. Not bad at all though. Overall, I'm happy with my CAI. Between the CAI, exhaust and Edge, this truck has really come to life!
