I have the Waag Center Guard. Similar to the One-piece, except no "wings". This is my second. Hit someone who cut me off at about 10mph and bent the upper mount bracket and the metal fold over that the rubber guard hooks over. Less damage than I thought, but being the other guys insurance was paying for it, I got a new one.

I do love the setup though.
I have a Manik 1 piece on my '97 F-150 (soon to be a 2007, which is why I'm here looking at the new options) and it has the rubber on the verticals. It looks good going on 10 years old, virtually no fade. Having hit more than a few parking garage walls with it I will say they are the way to go. They take gentle abuse like bumping a wall much better than power coat. One of the reasons I like them, is if you ever feel the need in an emergency to push another car out of harms way you're a lot less likely to damage the other car in the process.

The WAAG 1 piece looks promising for my new truck. The tree quote is a rather ringing endorsement.

Well, I’m stuck between the WAAG & the GSP…I love the way the WAAG fit’s the body line of these newer trucks. But, I like the way the GSP fits closer to the hood & grille. And I also like the way the Warn has the built in receiver. Cosidering the engine sits way behind the front axel, dose these guards make it imposable to reach the engine for cleaning/oil changes?

Well, by adding a grille guard you also add a ladder or step into the engine bay. I usually rest my knee on the center piece while doing PM.

Not really. Now a bumper replacement grille guard may be a little different.

Mine wasn't too heavy. UPS man carried it to my front door my girly wife helped install it.
