Banks PowerPack worth it?

I haven't even taken delivery yet and I've got the mod bug bad! Can anyone give me feedback on the Banks PowerPack bundle for the 5.4? My set up so far will be 35-inch tires and 4.56 gears. I'm going to get a tuner to adjust the tire/gear/speedo and hopefully get performance back close to stock. I have no idea what to expect as I've driven a bone stock 5.4 w/3.55 4x4 for almost 9+ years. At the least I will be doing the single side rear exit cat back monster exhaust but am wondering if the torque tubes and ram air kit are worth the money. Also is the Banks OttoMind tuner comparable to the others that I see everyone talking about (Troyer/Superchips/Edge/etc). The only thing I have to base my judgement from is way back I tricked out a 5.0 and the only things that I could "feel" was the gear change and nitrous (maybe the full offroad made a little difference in the seat-o-pants meter). I realize this is a different beast all together and I'm not dreaming of any neck snapping acceleration but I would like good response and hopefully close to stock tire size type acceleration and towing power. The Banks site states something like "up to" 47 hp and torque gains and I'm doubting it's anything close.

Honestly I think for all that money that it is deffinetly not worth it. Banks is great for diesels but IMO not for our trucks. I would go with an S&B Cold Air Intake and Edge programmer. Maybe some JBA headers... if your willing to spend that much money... But I dont think you will see that great of gains.

From the 1 kit we've sold, the guy won't quit talking about it.

yeah, it's alot of money, but you have banks behind it.

I ordered my banks monster exhaust friday, cannot wait to get it. I know it was a little more expensive then other exhaust systems but in my opinion i think it will be worth it 100%. The exhaust alone is suppose to give 20hp/25torque.

Really I would only be getting the cat back for looks and a little rumble...wouldn't expect any power increase. If the torque tubes and ram air kit really make some power I'd consider it (I mean at least 20 real hp). Also I want a tuner with economy and towing modes that run 87 octane and cannot find much detail on the OttoMind.

Not sure what torque tubes are. The Ottomind is pretty new, so I wouldn't think there's a whole lot out there on it yet. My truck has a nice rumble, but the drone sound on the highway is driving me nuts. Some say that they don't have it with their monster exhaust, maybe it's my intake, tuner, or headers, who knows? Don't waste your $$$$$ on short headers whatever you do.

Unless you have a diesel I wouldn't spend that kind of money on their mediocre packages for gas trucks. Roush?? Whipple?? Kenne Bell ??

I didn't wanna shop around, these other distributors who i've delt with in the past always send you the wrong exhaust, or dont have it in stock when their ebay store says it does etc... Thats why i went right to banks, i would rather paid an extra 100$ to avoid the hassle.

Maybe I'll just wait and see how the 4.56's and a tune feel. I don't want to go supercharger as I'm really just looking for stock or maybe a little better power with the 35's, plus it looks like they are in the $5-6k range. I figured if the headers and air intake would give me at least 20 more horsepower they may be worth it. Thanks for the info.

I had a full Banks System installed on my motorhome (1996 Ford 460), headers, exhaust, ram air and Trans Command. I may be talking apples and oranges but it made a BIG difference in performance. Worth every penny.

Don't do short headers!!!!! Very expensive, 8 hours to install them, and little power gained. Not worth the $$$$$.
