MPG Secrets Whitepaper

While dealing with a case of work induced insomnia (emergency conference call), I came across cummins' fuel economy link. This is for the big rigs mostly, but the info is still interesting. What I think that you may enjoy are their finding on lubricants and tire drag.

Yes, this is a fuel economy topic, but I just wanted to share for intellectual purposes. This topic may get moved, but hopefully some of the residents of this forum will find it before it does.

dont take this wrong.....

just my opinion....but why buy a $20000+ truck and then complain when you have to pay $1 more at the pump cause gas went up a nickel. If you cant afford the gas for a vehicle, then dont buy it. Plain and simple. Dont complain, get over it. Any $$ mod that you do to try and increase you mileage isnt likely to save you much in the long run....it might save you a $1 or 2 every time you fill up....but is it worth it in the end....probably not.

rant off

(edit....not saying that you are complaining...just stating a point)
