Battery dead...

I don't drive my ford all that much because I have a smaller daily driver. I haven't driven it since Sunday May 19 and I did crank it up last Thursday May 24, with no problem. I wake up this morning to drive it to the store and the battery is dead! All I have wired in the truck are two maglight chargers and it was only charging one maglight. The battery keeps it charge although it did drain about a month and a half ago while i was detailing it after about 4 hours.

Is that normal for the battery to drain that quickly or is it time for a new battery?

Its an 2005 with build date 12/04.

It's been very well documented that Ford's battery manufacturer put out some ultra-duds. You may be one of the unfortunate...

My company truck (also an 05' XLT) got a new battery at 14K - mind you, that was about 8 months out of new.

Well i've got 28 K on it. I just jumped it and let it idle for about 3 minutes and shut her down and she cranked right up. I might put a toggle switch on my chargers and if that doesn't do it than i've either got a bad battery or a drain somewhere
