Here is what the passenger area on the super cab with the 8' bed looks like. It's not bad, and like was stated the seats are exactly the same. What is more important to you, more leg room for passengers or more truck bed space for hauling?

The hard part is figuring out what you really need/want. What we all need is a longbed screw duely with the same length and mpg as my old ranger. If somebody could only figure out how to do it. I had enough trouble learning how to get my scab 6.5 around corners. My backseat is ok for adult riders, any complaints and they are welcome to use their own rig.

Good pics. Seats are the same, space isn't. Use my truck for long camping trips, hauling bikes, jet skiis whatever. When you can fill the truck, you can split the gas. 6 hour+ trips backseat of the Scab aren't even thinkable for anyone older than about 12. Hauling with the 5.5' sucks, even with the gate down. Tradeoffs, tradeoffs.

In addition to the 8' long bed, you get the increased frame, springs, radiator and aux trans cooler. Increased payload. 4.10 gears and 35.7-g fuel tank standard. It's a good alternative to a F-250.

i love my scab. also, the one thing about the scab is that even though there is less leg room, where i have the seat properly positioned for my height there is enough room for my dad to sit in the back behind me. Me and him are both 6 feet.

Maybe for a quick trip. Ya think he's gonna sit there for 4 or 6 hours comfortably? Not baggin' on the truck in any way. Just from experience, they're pretty uncomfortable (back seat, Scab) on a drive for any length of time greater than say an hour.

my brother sits in the back seat of mine for 3 hour trips a few times a year and doesnt complain at all. and he is 6 foot 220. if you are planning on getting the scab for bed length.. my 4x4 fourwheeler doesnt fit in mine without the tail gate down! only spot fourwheelers and smaller ones fit in the bed.

Your brother is the man. Seriously, a real trooper!

He was asking about the scab with the 8' bed length. I'm pretty sure any four-wheeler will fit in the 8' long bed.

i just went and sat in the back of my truck, with the seat where i normally put it. It isnt that uncomfortable. I could easily ride there for a while without complaining.

Well, you have a Scab. Were you really going to sit in it for a minute or two and say "Yup, probably not good for a long trip" ? I've had both, nobody wanted the back when we were heading out for a 6 to 8 hour road trip to N.Cal. I had to take a turn back there. I'm 5'11. Miserable after about an hour. Never could get comfortable. Not an issue with the Screw. Really not trying to start a Scab vs. Screw war. The original ? was which to get. I listed why we went with the Screw. Enjoy your truck, it looks good.

I had planned on getting a SCREW when I bought my truck but saw the SCAB Lariat on the lot and really liked it so I decided to settle for the SCAB. The only time I wish I had a SCREW is when I am in a parking lot and I have to load groceries or get people into the back seat. It's a pain in the ***. I plan on getting a SCREW when I get a new truck.

This is fairly easy to solve, just like black versus white, Leather versus Cloth. It all depends upon the impresssion that is left with the owner. If the SCab is to be used with adults for short distances, or for children with longer hauls, then the SCab is the answer. If the owner is impressionable and adults will ride long distances in the back, then the SCrew is the ticket.

If money is of no concern, fly first Class. I happily own a RCab, only two of us, kids thrown out a long time ago. My Son-I-L just bought a SCrew, Lariat. The price difference was 17K, with him using his X-Discount, and me using Ford discount. It is all a matter of taste, like mixing your morning coffee.

If you really want to put 2 6' plus adults in the rear seat, you need a crew cab super duty, not a super crew f150. The back seats of these things are not made for comfort on mult-hour trips for adults. They are made for trips to the job site and back.

I've owned RCabs, SCabs and SCrews. I have noticed that the SCrew is a heck of a lot more controllable in rain/ice/snow. The extra weight sitting closer to the rear wheels helps quite a bit. The SCrew doesn't seem to want to fish tail as much as the RCab and SCab.

The 2007 4-door RCab I drove at work last week was pretty cool. Plenty of room behind the seat to put groceries and stuff. It looks like a scaled up version of the old Club Cab Ranger with the jump seats. It has the LONG bed which is rather annoying when trying to back out of a parking spot... and the rear end breaks loose pretty easy.
