This is what happens when a young driver loses control. The driver was merging onto the freeway when they swerved to miss something in the road. The camaro went into a spin crossing not1 lane, but 2 before ending up in the 3rd land right in front of me at 70 MPH.

She was facing me when we hit.

I just found out my truck is totaled and with the price of gas we will not be getting another. I already miss the hell out of my truck I was planing on buying it.

I declared it a win because my son and I walked away for the most part. The woman is ok but she broke a leg and a collar bone.

And just like Mike states the f-150 has a 5 star crash rating.

Glad to see that you and your son are ok and even with her mistake and under the circumstances that the camaro went under that the women suffered minor injuries....andi say minor because shes lucky to have her life.

Id hate to imagine what would of happened if you were driving the new Tundra in that crash.

 

At least it was just a V6 Camaro....no huge loss. It would have been a shame had it been a Z28.

Looks like seat belt rash.

Glad no one was hurt seriously.

Also surprised that is considered totaled.

 

Both air bags popped 1600-2000
Frame rails bent, New laws says whole frame has to be replace 4000?
Multiple body panels bent 6000?
Entire front facia 2000 once painted

etc etc

 

Yeah it was the seat belt and actually 2 days later it looked a lot worse.

 

Oh but that isn't all..... it ripped the intake manifold off the top. And the body shop told me the drive shaft was broken and shoved into something.

 

Oh yeah guys get this....

The week before the accident I had the truck at the same body shop getting a fender bender repaired.

After that I had the oil changed.

And it has 3/4 of a tank of gas.

 

That there is enough to total it!

 

buy it back and part it out. i've been lookin for a front bumper for a while
