General concensus seemed to be 4.56's, but based on my calculations... RPM's wouldn't be too bad w/ 4.88's.

I vote for 4.88's!

Go with the 4.88's I think they'll be better with what you have.

He has 36" tires and since they're on 10" wide wheels... 35's on 8" wide wheels are probably about the same height.

EDIT:
I think the 20" MM951's are 10" wide. Correct?

How much highway driving do you do is the question. I was tossed up between 4.88 or 4.56 for 35's and went 4.56 b/c I do quite a bit of highway. If you don't do a lot above 65 or 70 mph then I'd say 4.88.

4.88 and just do the speed limit on the highway. Don't fear the gear.

They might end up being the same height but he still has more rubber since his tire is 15.5" wide thats why I would go 4.88's instead of 4.56's

if you do a good bit of highway....4.56's.

i have 4.56's on my 38's and they are 15.50 wide bud, and there perfect....whether im on the highway or not. i would not wanna go to 4.88's...and i have no regret in gettin the 4.56

i do alot of highway driving but half the time there is a boat behind me and im going 65-70.... unless im going to school..... and ill be driving around 75-80mph. its a toss up i do alot of city and highway.... but the power for towing the boat would be sweet.

Okay well than just expect your gas mileage to not be so great but thats the same with or without gears.

Not another gear thread?

4.88's for your truck. 35"+ = 4.88+

33"-35" = 4.56
28-33 = 4.10

Go by those guidelines and you won't be sorry.

I completely dissagree. My tires are 28.45" with 4.10's. his are 36" and hypothetically 4.88's..... My gears are still LOWER than his (meaning I have more 'gear" than him). If I had the option to get 4.30's.. I'd be all over them.

36" tires.. he better hope he gets 4.88s MINIMUM.

38's and 4.56's... thats just blasphemy!
