So i would say about 80/20 city to highway driving. Could you guys give me some information on what your average gas mileage is for this kind of driving?
If you're a teen aged driver then you better have rich parents if you're going to drive an 06-07 S.Crew 4X4. The mileage figures on this thread pretty much paint the picture. 80% in town 20% hwy. I'd say 10-14 mpg. I made over $90K last year and I don't like what I'm paying for gas for my 07 XLT S.crew 4X4.

I have a DashHawk which gives me real time MPG, the Lariat Info panel, and I input all my MPG info into an iPhone app. They all read consistanly the same, 13.5 MPG. I can tell you through the DashHawk, that to get the best mileage around town is not to take off slowly. Your going to think I am crazy, well maybe i am a little, but get it up to speed as quickly as possible, within reason, and then try to use the vehicle weight to cost as much as possible. I have found that when excelerating from 0-45, just easing on the gas results in around 2-8 MPG the whole time you are getting your 5500 LB vehicle up to speed. The longer it takes you to get up to the target speed, the more gas you will use. I have found that it is best to just, get right up there and then cost. No buring rubber or WOT, use your head. That is one way to get better in town mileage. You can do the hypermileing thing like I did here, but as soon as you get in town or have to idle for any lenght of time, your back to 13.5. My mileage was better with the 18" wheels too.

i have stock 20's, i used to get 18-19 on the highway when the truck was new. installed a k&n cai and a bed cover and my milage stayed the same for a while but recently it has dropped to 15 no matter what. i am looking into getting an edge tuner, changed fuel filter this weekend and next weekend will do the dreaded plug change. have been told to get rid of the cai and just do the gotts mod and clean my maf sensor. hopefully that will help.

Gas Mileage

I have a 2008 Lariet 4 X 4, 20" wheels with a 3.73 LS, bone stock. If I fill up, and imediately get on the freeway, and set the cruse between 60 and 65, I can average 18 to 19 MPG. The trick is finding a speed that you can maintain and not have to speed up or slow down.
