Center caps, need help..

I have to stock Lariat twin spoke 18" wheels. I like the wheel, but I HATE the center caps. I hate how they stick out..

For all of you FX4 and FX2 owners. How is your center cap held on?

By any chance, do you think the center caps from an FX4 or FX2 wheel will fit on th lariat?

the fx4 caps just snap on to the lug nuts...there is a little clamp/snap thingy that snaps on to each lug nut...don't know if they will fit a lariat wheel or not.

why don't YOU drive to a dealer and check it out? I would think that a dealer wouldn't mind popping off one of their FX4 centercaps to see if it fits on your wheel... especially if they think they can sell you 4 of them.

A question this random is hard for someone else to answer. You would need to have the same diameter centercap and the same lug pattern... then they will just snap on, like gonefishin10 said.

Bad news. They almost certainly won't fit. I have the 20's and some factory 18's in the garage. The well for the 18's is much deeper, and so the caps are longer to grab the lug nuts. Additionally, the caps for the 20's have small tabs on the outer diameter which make them too large for the diameter on the 18's. I tested from my factory '07 Lariat rims to the factory '04 Lariat rims.

Ah well.. It was worth a shot. I almost want to machine a flat disk that would just fit inside the center dish... My only problem is how to make them stay on then..

I have a 2005 FX4 and just bought a set of "take-off" Lariat wheels and tires that I had powdercoated black. Anyways, I agree with you about the center caps on the Lariat wheels. Since I have both sets of wheels, I checked to see if the FX4 caps would fit, but they do not. Instead, what I did for my truck is I bought some chrome lug nuts and run the wheels without center caps. I like the look...(sorry, no pictures at this time)
