Tool Box on Silver Truck.

I went to the local shop and they offered me a low profile tool box for $199. My questions are, should I get black or silver? (picture of my truck follows) Also, do they have to drill holes on my truck or is there a drill-less option out there? Thanks. I was going to get one that lays in the bed but they all seen to big for my short bed, the one they offered me looks perfect.

for color it depends on future plans. you can put them in without drilling holes by using j bolts.

Lowpro, a cheap brand "Continental". Geting it from Texas Tops in McAllen. They said it wont rust.

I would go with a black lo-pro to match the bed rail caps.

I called the one at Mission, but they said they didnt have any in black. They have the chest one like in the other post at Texas Tops. I'll be going back tomorrow to buy one, I'll probably look at different options and sizes. They wanted $269 for the black one, I forgot which brand that one was. They had all kinds of brands, even saw a USW there.

Id get black which ever you get (low pro or chest) I currently have a low pro in the chrmoe and am probably going to sell it and get a black chest style box, even though that will make my 5.5' bed a 4' bed with the tailgate up. I say black on your silver truck b/c there is an 08 Superduty around town here that has a black low pro uws box and I drool everytime I see him the truck looks awesome and you cant even tell he has a box unleses you are up close

I've got an '07 silver Screw XLT and I am considering a black chest style box. I think black looks much better on silver trucks, but that's my two cents.

If your on a budget, IMO the UWS brand low pro would be your best option. I had one on my 98 F150 work truck and it was pretty nice quality for the $$$. Try Truckers Supply in Pharr and ask if they will match the $199 at the other place. I needed a little more space for my new work truck so I got a couple of bigger tool boxes
