Can anyone answer this question for me?

BFG 285 All Terrains Mounted!

Today Tire Pros, removed the stock Americraps, & mounted the BFG All Terrains 285X70X17's. My truck looks so muck better, I had to rub my eyes!!!
It looked like Barry Bonds took a syringe of Dianabol & injected it up my trailer hitch, & vola, Mighty, Muscular, Massive, F-150 SCREW!!! I have to say I am very happy with the results, no more skinny tires.........Plenty of clearance, quiet ride, Off Road confidence, & awesome looks!!! Kinda like a girl you knew who went from a flat chest-to Pamela Anderson of Boob Watch.......I highly recommend this mod..........

If I remember correctly those numbers are for the footprint of the tire not how high it will sit. the middle number is the key number on that. I could be wrong though.

Oh man, if you were in the south side of Houston, I could get you the hookup on those!

Bailed my bacon out of the frying pan more than once! And for less than $10.00!

255/70R17s are 31.1" tall.

285/70R17s are 32.7" tall

This gives a total diameter difference of 1.6". Your truck would be elevated by the radius or diameter/2, so your truck would sit .8" taller than it does now.

Damn that's cheap. I can get a dozen for about 15 bucks. Every man who is married probably has a hook-up for cheap roses.

Oh yeah...$8-$10 around here. Unless of course it's around Valentine's Day!
