I converted and I love it! Bought a new FX4 :) (new here)

Hi everyone. I have had my new truck for about a week now. I think it is time to introduce myself

I used to own a 2002 Chevy Silverado - decked-out. Two weeks ago, I was T-boned. By a POS Honda Element. The dude blew a red light and hit me doing 50mph. I dislocated my left shoulder, had to go to the hospital by ambulance, yada yada yada. Anyway, my old Chevy was totaled by my insurance, finally, and I went new truck shopping! (I had just paid off the Chevy 2 months before the wreck).

1. I hate the new Chevy body style - that was out
2. I don't like the front end of the Dodge's
3. I REALLY LIKE the Ford's. (Been wanting one for years, but I was planning on keeping mine for a couple more years.)

So, I found exactly what I wanted, found out where it was and bought it
I still have some stuff I want to do to it..... but here are a few pics of the totaled out Chevy - the front picture shows how hard this a-hole hit me - the front tires are aimed out. The frame of the Element went through my door, punched a hole in the floor and came inside the cab.

My very wise choice for replacement:

sorry for your loss, but you wont be grieving for long. AWESOME color, sweet FX4. let the mods begin!

(ps. you should feel a lot safer now, you are driving one of the safest vehicles on the road)

Thanks! I DO feel much safer! I wouldn't drive it off the lot without the nerf bars installed. I was told, by many people, that the nerf bars on the old Chevy actually slowed down the impact. Thank god!

Anyway, I cannot stop myself, I keep ordering mods for it. Just ordered the bed cover tonight (had one on the Chevy and loved it!)

And so it starts. This will have 62 pages by morning with several requests for pics of "hootie-cans," "hoopty-patches" and the like. Watch out for the GD (General Discussion) folk who are sure to bleed over here and start the furor. Otherwise, welcome to F150Online.com.

Frame was bent, just about everything in the front suspension was either broken or bent, drivers seat frame was bent. As the body shop kept digging, it kept adding up and my insurance asked me if they could total it when the damage hit $15,000.00....heck ya!!! I can get a new truck then!
