alright, just a momentary hijack here, but I've got a linex bed and love it. Unfortunately they were unable to remove the bolts that hold the bed on so they sprayed around it. I watched them break two snap-on bits trying to get them loose. But anyway, it still look good and clean, my problem is that maybe by coincidence, but ever since then, those bolts have developed rust on them. Anyone know of how to remove that rust and whether or not the line-x, perhaps the way they prepared the surface caused the rust? Thanks.

The bolts that hold the bed on the truck are galvanized, which means that they are coated with zinc or another non-corrosive metal. When they tried to remove them, they probably rubbed off a bunch of that coating. This is not unusual when removing bolts. It happens with anodized bolts as well. If the majority of the rust is down in the phillips head slot of the bolt, then it may be very difficult to clean it out. You could try using a wire brush, but you may just remove more of the coating from the rest of the bolt.

If the other end of that bolt has a nut on it, then they certainly should not have been using any king of "bit" on a screw gun. They should have held the bolt still with a screwdriver on the top side and then turned the nut with a wrench...but I really don't know how they are put together. If they were trying to turn the bolt with a screwdriver and there's a nut on the other end, then they were just idiots.

The rust is on the entire surface of the bolt head, I'm thinking when they sanded the bed to prepare it for the Line-x that they sanded off that coating too.

That makes sense. I bet you are right. It really depends on how picky you are, but I would see if the company that sprayed on your bedliner would buy you six new bed bolts. I am extremely picky though!

I would **highly** recommend Line-X. Several forum members are also Line-X shop owners, so I'm sure you can get plenty of additional pictures with a quick search.

My wife paid $455 for my 6'6" bed on my flairside. It of course is in perfect condition since it is under my tonneau cover 95% of the time. Looks just like the one in txnole's post.

I love mine, It came in the truck when I bought it. I need to go up to the line x shop and talk to them though. I was walking out of the parts store the other day and I saw the warrenty tag laying in the bed. I have never had enough in the bed to contact this tag and need to find out if they can reattach it or if it needs to be in there if I ever have a problem. Mine is pretty scuffed up right now, I have an 18 gallon galvanized wash basin in there that is loaded with about 200# of concrete and a rubbermaid container with another 2 80# bags for snow weight. The bed floor is scuffed from sliding it in but I did not hurt the lining. Hitting the bed with a scrub brush when washing it and it looks brand new. Best part is that nothing slides around back there!

Probably close to that. When I had mine done it was under the rail for $450 or so and my gf asked about getting hers done and all the owner cared about was if it was over or under the rail. Apparently most of the cost has to do with masking so if you're gonna go under the rail it should be cheaper.

You should really check out the bedliner forum. You'll find LOOOOOOADS of pictures, prices, and anything else you could even think of asking about Line-X there.
