who do i call..
Me and the wife were out tonight and somone took off the drivers side mirror.,( if they stoped i probably wouldnt really be pissed bit ) it broke the 4 tabs that hold the backing on , but that can be glued, then rescrewed/ is the actuall mirror a replaceable part or is it a total unit? I dought i can get one from the bone yard and hopefully its not a dealer part only ( BTW is a 04 )
i figure i might be able to get a few ppls input before i start calling around tommorrow. some ppl these days take NO responsibility for there actions.

I should have taken some pics today, but forgot.. No bone yard around here has one. and I cant believe that a mirror that pops on isnt a seperate part as per the dealer. The dealer is 169.33 part # 603Z17683-CA and 1 hr labor @ 70.00. They said this is the puddle light mirror, I thought that was when the lights were under the mirror and shined to the ground ( which mine doesnt have ), It just has the blinker under the mirror.
Looking at it closer today I wouldnt say that a vehicle hit it since there are no scuff marks on the black plastic. ( this would actually be a collision claim even though the truck was parked )
Its going to be a comp claim as I have a 0 deductible, It looks as if a person would have not seen ( while running ) and hit it forcing it forward to the front of the truck, I think the mirror actually smashed when it poped off and hit the ground.
however allstate needs to take a look at it first, that appointment with the adjuster is set for Monday at there drive in station, hopefully i can have this fixed by Tuesday, I never realize how much I depend on my mirrors until ones not there, I had to do a little hauling today and I felt blind on the left side.

make sure you ask the seller a few questions first!
I personally wouldn't involve my insurance company.. just because they have strange ways of stinging you in the long run! just my 2 cents.
