Its a 3D LED maglight. A 4D might fit if you needed something that big.

Keep a pair of leather gloves in that pocket with the light keeps it from rattling, and I bet you got gloves somewhere in the truck anyway...

But mine includes at least:
Maglite
Gloves
Several maps
CD cases
Ashes

And only Lord really knows what else

You will forget you even put it there its so out of the way, but it will always be within reach.

Very very cheap mod.

Grabbed the 3 Dcell LED Maglite and clips for $26.13 free shipping at Amazon. Just stumbled across this thread, but my Maglite was getting old (plus its non-led, and my Dad lost his) so I grabbed a new one and will mount like FX4life did. And......Dad gets a new (old) Maglite .

Now if you need it for bashing heads, nothing beats the Maglite....
Amen to that! I always buy the heaviest batteries (weight) that I can find too.

I have a 3C maglite w/ LED conversion and a L7 surefire LED light. The surefire is AMAZING!!! Waterproof, extremely strong, and comes with 2 rechargable batteries w/ car/truck trickle chargers so there always full. It is inbetween the size of a 3A mag lite and a 2C maglite. I keep my maglite in between my passenger seat and center counsole. And then my surefire is in my driver side door with other stuff to prevent rattling. It is the brightest LED light I have ever seen. I got it for a steal, $70 brand new at Gander Mt. They were just delivered and appearatnly priced wrong because the cheapest I can find one now is $230!!!
