Blown Head Gasket!

Blown Head Gasket!
Well, I took my lights off that almost cost me my truck, and when I was underneath pulling off the rubber grommet for the inside of the cab, near the engine/transmission, I noticed the entire drivers side lower block covered in crankcase oil. I looked at it close with my shop light, and sure enough, right from the freakin' head gasket. So I brought it down to my dealer, and I had them lift it, and I pointed it out. We had 4 techs, including myself, agreed that I needed a new gasket.
I've got it scheduled for Wednesday to have them commence work on it. Plus they are making sure I get a loaner. The girl who operates the service desk felt like wicked bad for me because I blew through 4 transmissions with my '03 Ford Escape, with a 32 day work period. She made a comment, "You got rid of your crappy Escape, and bought a much better vehicle, and you are still having problems. I never seen someone with so many problems with vehicles." They said it will take about 2 to 3 weeks or more depending on complications. At least I will be getting a loaner... hopefully a Mustang or a better yet a truck. Who knows.
I'm just annoyed and upset. But theres nothing I can do.

They are slow over there. Unfortunantly.
I'll try the loaner trick and see what I get. I really don't need a loaner, but I shouldn't have to drive my other truck. But I'm not that picky.
I will be nice on Wednesday, and just ask them to make sure they put everything back together correctly. As I had them fix my A/C compressor, and they wound up not putting my intake back on. But they are the only game in town that does half decent work.

From watching various screens on my SGII, like the loads and other info, even under the heaviest thing I've hauled, I've never seen the engine load go beyond 75%, which is nothing for the engine. Under normal driving, it never sees 40% load --ever--. I've gotten it up to 90% load before by driving it hard once or twice, but that was just out of curiosity's sake.

According to the techs it is definitely a flaw in the headgasket, and from the engine mechanical sound and oil coloration, proves no abuse. They all said that it is a well taken care of truck by how clean the oil is, plus the fact that I get the 20 mpg.

As far as the V8... you mean a V10 or a V8 TTD? Forget a V8 gasser...
