New Lens = New Pics

Got a new lens for myself for Christmas (Nikon 18-200 VR) and decided to go out and shoot a couple pictures. They came out awful because it was an over cast day and the lighting was miserable.

Here they are anyways:

No problems with the Hellas. First set had a problem...called them up and had a new set on my doorstep in three days. Killer customer service from them!

Wish I could take bad pictures like that.

You got some cool scenery around you. Are all of your pictures in your area? Or do you actually have to drive a little to find a place?

I've said it once before & I'll say it again, you take some awesome pics PimpRohr, have you ever thought about being a photographer for Truckin' or something like that? Most of your pics look like cover material.

I would like to get into photography, what camera do you use & are your pics using a tripod? How do you get them to come out so good, is it just the quality of the camera???

Nikon D90 is what I am shooting now days. No tripod, although I could have used it last night to open up the lens a bit with a longer shutter.

As for photography, I am far from good enough to even be thrown into a magazine type enviroment...although I keep reading and experimenting to learn.

As for shooting spots, I just take mental notes in my day to day travels and when I get a chance I stop and shoot some pics.

Nice shots. White balance is a little off but can easily be fixed in Capture NX2 or Photoshop. I just picked up a Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8 for my D2xs and I love the wide angle shots I get with it. I will post some up later.
