People doubting Rough Country, heres a video of some testing

Hey everyone, I was really considering a rough country lift when I began my search for a lift, but from some mixed reviews I turned away. I have searched the forum and read the threads about not alot of forum members knowing the product or company, some bashing some not even sure. I was looking on you tube and watched a couple videos of the kits and their testing of them. This particular video is of the lift on a 2005 Dodge ram 2wd. I know some people are worried about the integrity and strength of the kit, I did email them and ask if the front cross member is a one piece and havent gotten a reponse yet due to the weekend and all. But anyway the truck gets some pretty good air on those hills and comes down pretty hard. So it seems they are testing them to their fullest in that department. But I am seriously considering them when I decide to get a lift. Check out the video and tell me what you think.

I was actually looking at the kit for our truck yesturday. I do a lot of jeeping and I know a lot of people that run rough country products that don't complain. I'm not sure about their full size market as I haven't got very far into researching it.

Yea they had a lot of jeep videos and seemed to get the job done. If I do a suspension lift this lift will be a contender.

Dam, everything over in Texas is so cheap, a shop by me wanted $3,100 to install a Bds stage 1 kit, like you said you got it installed for $2100, i laughed a bit and walked out

for me it would be a toss up between rough country and pro comp
i like that the rough country has bigger rear blocks, better look front cross member, longer brake lines. but i love the pro comp skid plate and they also make pro comp traction bars, i might look into

Yeah, I like that front cross member that rough country has, I will most likely go with this kit when and if when I do the 6 inch for my truck. My truck is just on road driving anyways, I don't ever off road it that's why i got the jeep in the backyard for.

I had Rough Country spindles on my 99 F150 and beat it a LOT harder than that video-that was kiddie stuff there... Had absolutley no problems what so ever during the 2-3 years between putting the lift on and trading the pickup off.

I know the folks at Rough Country, they are good folks and have good products. They make a good kit for the Tundra and FJ Cruisers. Are they the best? No...but it's a decent bang for the buck.

That's what I want, a good lift for a decent price. I think I will be getting this lift when the time comes.
