I promise you putting it in the bank isnt a bad idea to me but the only reason I have the money is because I am putting a significantly greater amount in the bank while paying off a credit card and the hospital bills. My wife and I have discussed the possibilities of what to do. I use my truck for work and I get paid hourly solely on use of it so I put a lot of money in maintenance and I'd like to put some in my enjoyment. I've put 16k miles since june on my truck. I'm in it alot and I tow and put equipment in back. Hence the AAL. I'm considering the K&N deal b/c after gift card its $250 then AALs for $100 then Ranchos keep me right around budget.

Another vote for Gryphon. It will make the biggest bang for the buck.

The K&N deal sounds pretty good, but do you need the shocks?

Well My job takes me down pipeline right of way sometimes so I do spend time off road and carrying equipment and towing. I already have the leveling kit which put the front higher then the rear sp the AAL was gonna help all that. If I pick the rear up 2" shouldnt I get new shocks? Actually, was on the right of way in Douglasville back in March or April. I played a round of frisbee golf @ Deer lick park (I think it was called).

Has anyone verified the 15 HP K&N claims?

Oh really, I used to eat lunch at Deer Lick park 2 summers ago when I worked for the county. There was a sticky up a while ago confirming those claims. How much is the K&N your looking at?

I think I'd put in an XM Radio and a Remote Start. It's COLD out there in the morning...

I'm looking at the K&N FIPK, like I said on sale right now for $273 and you get a $25 gift card to 4WP. While I was traveling early this year I'd go to different parks to play Disc Golf. I remember how impressed I was b/c other cities take care of their parks unlike CHARLOTTE. I remember it was a large (IMO) clean with alot of activity and people.

F--- XM Radio. I got rid of it already. And it's not to cold round here. Coldest so far was like low 20s but that was only for like 2 days. Callin for 65 on Christmas!
BTW, How much HP does XM add?

could always put it towards the credicard and hospital bills. IMHO if i was putting on the kinds of miles that you do, i wouldnt put anymore money into my truck except for maintenance, seeing as with 30k+ miles a year i would know the truck wont be lasting forever...
