Can someone help me out with a part number (Bilstein5100)

My parent's bought me the front 5100's for my truck for christmas. I gave them the part number, BE5-C298-H0. when I unwrapped them today, I saw that they were BE5-C298-H1. According to bilstein's website, they both apply to a 04+ F150. Does anyone here know what the discreprancy is between the H1 and H0?

Bilsteins or spacers, either works.

Both part numbers are listed on the website, you'll be fine.

You should either start a new thread with your questions, or just read the current discussion recently going on about this subject.
A spacer works fine, but too large can cause excessive suspension angles and cause the balljoints and CV joints to bind by letting the suspension droop too much.
The bilsteins give you additional wheel travel (1-2"), and do not allow the suspension to bind.

Congrats on the great X-Mas gift. Are you going to be raising it up?

The dont believe there is any difference. Just some sort of update. How many settings do they have for the spring perch? They should have 3. One for no lift, one for 1" lift and another for 2" of lift..

I believe the difference between the HO and H1 is one has the 0, 1 and 2 inch settings and the other has the 0-2 inch settings. The HO's have the 0 and 2" settings.

Thanks for the clarification guys. The struts have the 3 grooves for the C Clip, but i'll be using the 2" setting. I did see on Bilstein's website that they show both numbers, but they didn't explain why. I had always seen the part no. listed as an H0. After my dad ordered the wrong shocks the first time, I was just being cautious. The fools at pepboys told him that the "new" version was out. I cross referenced Bilsteins' website with the part no they gave him and they were for an F250 rear shock 4-6".
