i want to remove the rear f150 symbol to clean up my tailgate a little. does it have lineup pins???

If your talking about the F-150 logo on the left side of the tailgate, then yes there are pins behind it.

it has pins but you will destroy the tape and i doubt you will be able to apply more due to the badges design.

 

Im thinking he wants to remove it permanently, but I could be wrong. Someone else just did this, cant remember their name though. They had the holes filled by a body shop.

 

wow, i feel stupid... i miss read the post. i thought he said he wanted to take it off too clean the tailgate ie clay bar, not take it off to clean it up...

 

yeah i meant permanently. i wonder what it would cost to do thay. would they have to respray the whole tailgate???

 

I dont know exactly where you are located but around here it be somewhere around $50/hr @ 2-2.5 hrs paint time and to fill the holes $35-$40 @ 1-2 hrs.I would guess in the neighborhood of $250 give or take depending on the body shop. Just a guess but I did work at a body shop for 10yrs.

 

They'll probably try and get you for paint materials too.. Another $50-$75....
