Unhappy Removed 6" Lift...saying goodbye....

Well, due to our awesome economy along with some personal financial situations, I am unable to afford to buy-out my lease as originally planned. So, off comes all the parts (for sale in the classifieds section). Going to say goodbye to this truck sometime this week or next week when I turn it back in. Still have a few things to remove from it before it is all ready. I really loved this truck and am hoping my next one will be just as good to me.
I just recently purchased a 2001 Lariat Off-Road edition. Let the mods begin!!

Thought I would share some pics of the weekend project. Started at 7:30 am finished up around 4:30 pm.

The new truck:

Bummer. I liked your truck too I was browsing your gallery over summer admiring it. Atleast your still staying F150 and not getting some little car.

The economy is really effecting almost everyone right now...hopefully it has gotten to the point that it starts to climb back up soon.

It's no where near rock bottom yet? Mid 2010 we might see some turn around

Did they work with you on the payoff? I friend of mine is nearing the end of his lease on his BMW. He has gotten a ton of calls with all these offers for him to buy it. He doesn't want to agree to anything because the dollar amount goes down with each phone call. If that is happening with a BMW you'd think a big truck would be worth less and motivate the dealer to do everything they can to not end up with it on their lot.

Thanks for the compliment - it was a joy to drive every time. Put a smile on my face. My new truck will too once I get done doing a few things to it.

Not sure about that one - I just got a shipping estimate to Maryland of approx. $160. Hawaii I'm sure would be pushing $200+.

I don't even care - the buyout was close to $24k. Even if they came down to $20k, that's more than I can afford right now.

thanks man...the shipping would be alot more than $200 though. I've been quoted $500 from Pro-Comp themselves

best of luck on this, and the new truck

Your new truck looks pretty much just like mine did when I first bought it.

Have fun modding the new one!

Well since you said money is tight.

I have some almost wornout 35" Claws I would sell ya really cheap if ya want to lift it up before you can buy new tires.

They should last another 10K or so at least.

Just an option for ya since we don't live too far apart.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the offer. Do you know of any good places to price out lifts from besides 4wheelparts and 4wheelonline??

I totally relate. Had to sell my fully loaded 08 F250 FX4 with mods and just bought a used 08 F150 XLT that I putting some modest mods on. Good luck on yours and can't wait to see how it comes out!

I bought mine at Chux Trux here in KC. I think it was about 1700 or so.
