Painted my fogs

Hey, I painted my fog lights last night and took some pics today for ya. My original plan was to paint the top, bottom and some of the sides. Pretty much how everyone else was doing it, then I wanted it darker so I had some VHT night shades left over and I started to tint the side chrome ribs that is in it, but the paint didnt stick and looked horrible so I had to salvage it some how. So I painted the entire inside with the satin black Krylon Fusion and I really like how it turned out. I know that the amount of light emitted is virtually gone but I dont care, I like how it looks. Heres some pics.

Well Im glad everyone agrees that they are useless, as do I. But how much do stock fogs really help, IMO not a whole lot, yea you get a little light but not enough to say WOW I can see now! And this wasnt my intention from the start, it was a last resort in order to save them from ugliness. At least I didnt paint right over the lens. And I plan on getting HID's in the future.

And I will take some night shots, just for the hell of it.

actually, the housing you have is A LOT better than the round ones. try a 9005 halogen bulb...you'll see a hugh difference

And its not just the better housings, keeping your low beams on with fogs helps indicate hi-beams turned off to low beams for those out of town a ways such as i. And it still helps you get noticed a little quicker than just headlamps. And you can see the very lowest part of the ground easier than what headlamps will elluminate.

Truck looks sharp!

HID Conversion kit, they wouldn't be "totally useless"

Also, what did you do to your emblems, are those overlays or did you just tint them?

Looks nice.
And fog lights are unless for the most part anyway IMO. Sure they light up the 15 feet in front of the truck, but when your going 45 mph and you didn’t see something in the head lights its too late anyway.

Yea I tinted the "Ford" blue part with VHT night shades and painted the chrome around it a solid black with just krylon fusion.
