Sorry about the wreck, but glad you're OK. Have fun shopping for another F150.

Glad your OK trucks can be replaced. That looks like a pretty hard hit, I would say more than likely it toast.

Btw were your Revo's LT or P series? I'm looking to buy a set and cannot make up my mind on the load rating.

The f-150 seems like one of the safest trucks on the road. When my wife rolled the old stx scab it did a lot of damage and kept her perfectly safe inside. Was very pleased with it. I'm glad you are ok, and the other driver to.

I would almost bet it's a total loss. If so goodluck on your next purchase.

Mine were the P rated, it really depends on what your going to tow. The LT rated have the option of increasing pressure upwards of 50-60psi for towing. I will say that I've towed a 21ft trailer 6000lbs on many occasions 500+ miles through the mountains on the Revos with plenty of control, w/brake controller of course. They suited me fine and were a large improvement over the stockers.

Glad to hear you're o.k.! As for the totaled part, I believe that would depend on your pay off, versus the cost to repair. I got into an accident 2 years ago w/ my 05, same scenario as you, but I was pulling a 3,000 lb trailer. Bent my frame, the insurance paid to replaced it, the frame that is. They Would not total the truck. State Farm before anyone asks. keep us posted on how this turns out.

silverbullet5.4, glad your ok, accidents always suck... been there. i hope you have all the receipts for the brakes etc if you did them try and get a shop to give you a phony bill for labor costs or a quote and submit all the receipts into the insurance company, if they write it off they will give you that extra money back (that's the way it works here in Ontario)

well your in luck if its not totaled i have a drivers side head light and a set of lower control arms with about 500 miles on them you could buy and pocket some of the insurance money and glad your ok sucks about the wreck i was driving a dually with a 40 foot gooseneck loaded down with about 20,000 pounds and a lady ran a red light and hit the dually at the rear doors and it ripped the rear end completely out of the truck the rear of the truck was on the ground and then her van hit the trailer and it ripped the entire front end motor and all out of the van and they didnt total the truck either but the truck was never the same

Nope, I've been through this in Alberta, they will pay for stuff over and above regular maintenance that you have done (rims, stereo, speaker etc.) Brakes, tires, shocks are all considered wear-and-tear items and they won't refund you for money spent on wear-and-tear before getting wrecked.

Well they did end up deciding it was a total loss. It was a cold rainy depressing day today as I went and got all my crap out of the truck. Sucks because I took pretty damn good care of it. Got the grille, floor mats, PIE, and a few other additions.

On an even more depressing note, the insurance only offered $12k for the truck. What the eff am I supposed to do with 12k? THese trucks depreciate horribly, which will probably prevent me from buying another newer(04+) F150. I'm in the process of arguing my case to get a more representative value of what the truck is worth, so we'll see how that goes. I just hope everyone either has gap insurance, made a large down payment, or paid cash for their trucks, because at the rate these things depreciate, I could see alot of people getting screwed. I'll keep you guys posted.

that sucks! fight for more money! I had a crash like that back in october, my truck was payed for but the young lady had no insurance. I took it to a body shop my friend owns and he's still working on it. I hope you get a nice truck from all this.

Update:

After gathering all my receipts and documents, they've offered $12.5k for the truck.

I'm still in the process of fighting it, after researching autotrader and dealers for similar trucks. Just to get into a similar truck, I'd have to spend $14-15k, that's without leather and a few options I have. Basically I have to take a hit because someone else totalled my truck. The insurance will only give the "cash value" of the truck, they don't care what dealers will charge. So bottom line is that I have to incur more debt to get the same thing, which is wrong any way you look at it but at this point, I have limited options.

Screw it, I may just go back to an older F150 Lightning(93-95) like I used to have to prevent a payment.

I'm not sure that's a total -- all depends on the amount of damage underneath the skin. The thing that might help you is that the truck is now 4 years old, so the value of the vehicle is going down.
