Towards the bottom it says it wont fit a supercrew? that makes no sense

maybe it's something to do with a mounting hole for the bed extender? not sure, just a guess.

but, isn't there a damper built into our tailgate? when mine use to work, it would drop down sort of slow, and then be really light to push up and close. I lent my truck to a buddy, and it has been heavy to open/close ever since. He was loading a bike in, and had to drop it onto the tailgate from about a foot above off a loading dock. Rear wheel slammed down on the tailgate.

yeah they must have gotten their info wrong because the flaresides wont work ( i made itwork) but the 97-03 screws had the same tailgate as the flares

 

I went ahead and bought them haha they should work I dont see how they wont?

 

they definitely dont work on the flaresides without modification

 

i didn't know this stuff
