Noisy lifters?

Noisy lifters?
I have the 5.4 in my 04 F-150 4X4 and when idling it almost sounds like a diesel. A guy i work with says the 5.4 are known for noisy lifters. I there anything i can do for this? Anyone try that oil additive that is suppose to quiet noisy lifters?

It's more than likely the cam phasers.

Check episode #22 on the list on this link and you'll learn all the good or bad noises of the VCT.
