I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, my '05's front emblem is getting progressively worse

I have an 05 and no sign of the oval going bad but my fender emblems did start peeling but warranty covered that.

My front emblem did the same thing, but I noticed it was due to a big rock chip right in the center of the emblem. Also had the peeling F150 badge on the fender. Dealer replaced both of them for free while it was under warranty.

Yes they will replace it. No, they won't do it for free.

If it's just come out of warranty they may do it as a courtesy, but if it's been out for awhile don't expect much.

Dealership took my tailgate yesterday to repair the dents. They want to try using paintless dent repair. As long as it looks like it did when I brought it in there. The service manager couldn't believe the body shop pried against the paint all the way around. He appologized and said heads will roll over it. I just want it fixed. Hopefully all will be good in a couple of days.

Same thing happened to my tailgate emblem on my '06. I did notice that it was after some work was done. They made a "hole" if you will (more like a dent that broke through the plastic) and after the next cold night, there it was. Got worse the next couple of nights.

Do a search here for Patriot Decals. Thats what I'm going to use as my 06 is out of warranty too.Just waiting for the weather to warm up to put them on.

I had the same problem with the emblem on the used harley grille that I just installed. I took a razor blade and cut open the "bubble" and cut off all of the plastic cover that I could. Then I covered it with my new patriot decal.

I removed my embelms on my 1998 long ago. Ford refused to pay me $200 per month as a rolling billboard.
