Ford Emblem Failure

Anybody else have their emblems do this?

It's completely delaminating. I noticed it starting in December but have just now pinned down a dealer to replace it.

Oh, and when it rains it pours, dropped the truck off at the dealer to get the emblem fixed and get a call that on their walk around they found the intake tube separated from the air box on my aFe intake. Figures.

my rear one looked like that, but it was my fault. i was loading up gear to go play and i washed my truck the night before, luck would have it the damn thing froze up and i used some lock de-icer to get it open. ran down the lock into the emblem and ate the chrome to hell. dealer gave me a new one.

Both of mine look like hell. There is little to no clear left on them. Should I try the dealer for mine? Its an 06.

Mine did the same thing after driving through a terrible rain storm all the way from South Florida to Georgia. All emblems are covered under warranty though, so my dealer replaced it for free. Actually, I asked them to go ahead and replace all the emblems on the truck and they did.

My front emblem is starting to get white spots on it and I've only had the truck for seven months.

Mine looks like that too but my truck is out of warranty and the price for a new one is ridiculous. Can you disassemble these and custom paint them by chance?

Both of mine did that and they were replaced under warranty. Only thing is they dented the crap out of my tailgate all the way around the emblem so I'm wishing I just left them. The service manager said he'd never seen that problem before. Hard to believe. Hopefully they will fix my tailgate without too much problem. The truck didn't have a scratch on it until this. It really sticks out on the black.
