They may have changed the name of the color, but there was no stone green metallic by name in the 2008 models. There is a forest green metallic for 2008, but the colors are not close.

I have a 2008 Stone Green King Ranch, maybe it was only offered in this trim but it was offered in 2008.

I've never seen one around my area and only saw one at the dealership. It's a sharp color though, when my dad buys a new truck he said he might like to have that color

My bad. I dug out my brochure and that color is indeed there in various trim options for 2008. So much for the link I used this morning.

Around here, the most common paint scheme for the '04 - '08 F150 is Dark Stone / Arizona Beige 2 tone. I love the combination, but would have preferred the Dark Stone on the lower band... As soon as my home repairs and mechanical mods on the truck are done, a set of flares and a Dark Stone secondary color are getting shot on my truck...

Well first off no, Dark Stone is no longer being used. It was replaced in 08' with Stone Green.

I really liked the Dark Stone though, and in fact, that was what I originally had my mind set on. Then, when I found out (online) that it had been replaced with Stone Green, I was pissed ! I was like, "Green won't work with the styling I'm shooting for"...... But then I saw it in person, and I thought, "That isn't green ! It's closer to brown, with lots of gold metallic". At which point, I instantly fell in love with it. In fact, I'm getting ready to give it another hand waxing today ;-)

Anyway, around here, Dark Stone F150's are a little more common than Stone Green, but that's only because Dark Stone was available for 3 years, and Stone Green was only available on the 08's {well, and the 09's.... but they are fugly anyway, regardless of the paint ;-) Still though, In my area you see about 20 white ones, and 20 more silver, red, and black ones, for every DS or SG one you see.
And best of all (from a personal standpoint) I've still only seen one SG F150, which was completely blacked out. Very suitable for a whacko, far-left, oddball like myself ;-)

Peace,
Fish
