Even if you were still contemplating the swap, you haven't even listed control arms, spindles, springs, shocks, and all other misc components that would be related.

well let me play devils advocate...i am looking to go from 4.6 to 5.4 so this is what i am doing...looking at buying a wreck like this and swapping the rolling chassis and just moving my body over to something like this.

I can get you a roll over at auction and you remove the bad body and transfer frame, engine, and all over ...all parts at there...If you want help getting one at auction let me know..i have access to doing this.

By doing that, wont you then have to have a salvage title on your truck?

Also, out of curiousity, how much does a totaled vehicle like that go for $$$? If it's more than a couple thousand dollars I'd think it'd be better to just sell what you have and buy a used truck. Heck, I think that's a better route anyways.

Find a 2004-2006 f250 or 350 wrecked. Take the axles out put them under ur f150 truck. Coil over the frontend with a 3 or 4 link. Find a divorced transfer case put it in the center of truck and leaf the rear end. if u have abs keep the fronts unplugged and splice the rear wires to fit the rear axle.

I do not know what it will go for yet...as for the salvage title thing i have no idea either...no one would know if you did the swap under ..when you do a project like this your planning on keeping the truck so i dont know if it matters.

Aside from winter driving, you could get away with a front power winch. That would get you over any rough spots. About a grand with the mount.

Yes you would have to have a salvage/rebuilt title which in most cases devalues the truck.

I think it would be safer to just trade your current 2WD in for a 4WD instead of swapping parts out for this kind of thing. I'm sure you can get by with just a locker/limited slip and some aggressive tires.
