Tire Question!

Hey guys...

I want to replace my current tires with a wider street tire. I have the stock 20 inch rims (which I am powder coating black!) and plan on a 3/5 drop. Whats the widest tire I can fit without rubbing?? I would like recommended sizes... and I'm not a huge fan of side wall. The 275/55/20 are much too offroadish for my street truck! Thanks!

hmm... maybe 295 is more up my alley... don't like that they poke out slightly... looks awesome though!

305 will look great on your truck...the pictures above are with the Roush rims. I'm pretty sure they have a different offset than normal F-150 rims

As Tylus said, wheel offset is a big factor. Mine are also 305-50-20 (see below link to my gallery). I believe you will be fine with the stock rims.

I have 275 55-20's on mine and love them, drop and all.

Any wider and you're just going for looks. 275 is plenty wide for these trucks. Plus 305's are about 4-10 lbs heavier per tire and produce more rolling friction.

I recommend Toyo Proxies. Cheap, wear like iron, handle great, and ride like a dream. Plus the Proxies S/T II appear to be a real step up (they're new). V rated fun.

Some shots:
