Some of the newer Texas Game Warden trucks are 4x4 F-150's as well. Saw one the other day similar to this one with mud tires and a light bar on top. Pretty cool.

Edit: this one is 2wd.

That's awesome. The New London PD here uses a Lexus IS300 that was recovered from a drug dealer, all decked out with a ton of stuff. They mostly use it for show, though.

Theres tons of those down here. F150s, F250s, F450s, suburbans, trailblazers, impalas, chargers, crown vics, fleet trucks, tanker trucks, boats......man i love living down here. I used to live by a warehouse that outfitted police cars and trucks with their equipment(lights and stuff)

down here n tampa when ever theres a concert at our fairgrounds me and my buddies go mudding in the open fields of the parking lot that havent been filled up. the TPD solved this by using undercover f250's, f350's, excursions's, etc. luckily neither me nor my friends ever got caught, but it is pretty cool to watch an average looking truck just light up with red and blue lights then chase through a muddy torn up field after some guy

why do the police need a pickup truck that get 14 mpg? cant they drive more fuel efficient vehicles? or is this the crown vic recovery truck?
i know my dept. has all squad cars for normal patrol and a f350 dually for towing the sign trailers and cones and whatnot. also if its gets crappy out we use that and the tahoe's. they are barely used much but they have a purpose.

but hell even the vic's and impalas get terrible mpg since most of the area is urban

Our local warden got a 2010 f150 this summer. looks great.

My friend's Ford dealership sold two F150's to the county sherriff's dept last summer. They had the 5.4 and came from the factory with some special tune on the computer. Don't know really what had been done but those trucks would **** n' git.

Local Sheriff has two F150's and one Silverado as well. Lot's of police trucks out here in the boondocks.

Our provincial police have tons of F350's and whatnot, but in my city it's only crown vics. The military police here, on the base, have Expeditions, and I've been trying to convince them to at least put some 33in AT's on it to look a little more built up, and give it some off road capability.

Probably not going to happen though, I'll try and grab a pic at some point of it

you ever try and take a crown vic through the desert after drug dealers and human smugglers? Thats why they need trucks.

All Ive seen around here, Coweta Co, GA so far is a Silverdao the Newnan city PD uses for Bike Patrol support. I'll keep my eyes peeled for F150's though and report. Enjoy seeing the pictures.

Vehicles

I'm seeing more utility vehicles in recent years. Mn HP has been using Suburban's etc for some time, along with FD's. One municipality is running F150 SCabs and Chargers for the last couple of years. They previously had Crown Vics but changed out to these. They seem to do the job as I see them catch alot of speeders on Hwy 100 lately.

F150s look good dressed as cops. They have a couple in MN now. Best was an Escalade with a Sheriffs Logo on the drivers door that said "confiscated" under it.
