Police package F150
Thought everyone would get a kick out of this. While taking some pictures of our Las Vegas meet, a Las Vegas Police F150 rolled over to check out our trucks. We asked him to pose the truck in the picture but departmental policy prohibits them from posing in organized pictures. The officers were cool though and allowed us to take a couple as they slowly drove by. Coolest police vehicle I've seen, even had a Rollbak cover

Las Vegas's Police department is fairly large because it covers all of Clark County, not just Las Vegas so they have every vehicle imaginable. The F150's are usually driven by Sergeants(in this case) and officers that work in the rural areas of Clark County. The F150's are usually taken home and officer drives them to the smaller cities outside of Las Vegas, such as Pahrump, Laughlin, etc. They also use Expeditions as K-9 units. They have Dodge Rams too, but after talking to a lot of my department contacts they are phasing them out because of the small interiors(back seat). They have several unmarked F250's that the SWAT team uses and almost any vehicle you can think of they have as an undercover unit. Just the other day, SWAT was serving a search warrant on a home where I work. They had a Hummer H2 with 24" rims....and LED red/blue lights in the back window & front visor

That's almost always where that kind of vehicle comes from. Usually they don't ever have to buy vehicles for the true undercover work- have a good enough supply of confiscated ones, at least in a metropolitan area. They have and use everything under the sun- stuff that certainly doesn't look like a police vehicle, but they're definitely outfitted like one. You're not gonna SEE one trace of it though.
