the sensa-tracs are installed. all i can say is HOLY CRAP!!! night and day difference. the bed does not hop around like it used to. the stock shocks were toast. took them upwards of 5 mins to fully extend after i compressed them. they prolly went out around 30k, i have just under 70k on it now.
i cant wait to get the fronts done. i did not measure before or after but it does look like the rear was lifted a little bit. these shocks are well worth it.

the difference in height is not all that bad. i don't have an AAL, i just have my 305s under it. those added a lot to the height

mine intially gave an inch of height, but after a week they have settled and last I measured I was at half inch of lift since installing. So they dropped half an inch and it wasnt noticable when it was at an inch anyway...I SAY GO FOR IT. they are great shocks, really helped my bed shake that many people have been complaining about.

Just out of curiosity, did any of you change your front shocks as well? Considering most of the weight of the vehicle is over the front axle (if your not hauling or towing anything too heavy regularly), wouldn't it be safe to assume that if your rear shocks are "shot" then your front ones are probably as well?

Buy them from RockAuto.com: $73.58 for 2. 58643 is for 4wd, I did the rears only on my truck so far. It added 9/16" of height to one side (sorry didn't measure the other side) but it will likely settle. Driving around town unloaded these are not noticeable other than the good ride they provide compared to the worn out stockers. These are not adjustable. Bottle jack or scissor jack is the only way to intall, that plus a BF Screwdriver/flatblade to pry them the last 1" into place. Now I need to add Bilstein 5100's to the front to get this thing close to level. I am ok with some rake I just don't want to be nose-high when towing my car.

Thank you for posting this thread on the Monroe shocks.
I just got the Monroe shocks part #58643 installed on my 2004 FX4 and am very happy with the results. Purchased them from the local Sears automotive shop, and got free installation. Installation took about 30 minutes.
The increase in rear suspension height is about 1/2" over stock for my truck. The ride quality is great.
My truck has 49,000 miles, and the rear shocks were terribly worn out. I transport dirtbikes in the bed of my truck and tow a trailer for my streetbikes, so these load leveling shocks are a great option for me.
Here is a picture of my ride, thanks again!
