And I just noticed its the long bed you spoke of, but hey, a year newer and its a 6.5' bed, not 8'. I'd kill to have the 6.5' on my truck, the 5.5' sucks.

If you have looked high and low and that is the truck you are set on and you are satisfied with the price, buy it. Ultimately it is your decision. I have not seen actual pictures of the paint on this truck, but from what you have described those swirls should come out with the right products and technique. Take a look in the Care & Detailing forum and those guys should be able to point you in the right direction for taking care of those swirls, just be careful because detailing can become addicting for some people. I know, I've got more products than I could ever use, but it is fun. Good luck!

x2. If you're interested I did a write-up on how I detail my truck for a few other forums. Thought about putting it over here but they already have the detailing sticky. Makes it easy to follow (materials list, steps, videos, etc). It's a fun hobby and you'd be able to take care of the swirls yourself.

is the truck. pictures are terrible.

here is one i took on my 5mp droid. you can kinda see it.

only thing i noticed when driving it is i was slowing down, foot off brake and gas, and i goosed it pretty hard and it felt like it had some slack in the drivetrain. is that a pretty common thing? im 98 percent positive my dads 05 does this. its probably actually the trans downshifting

They block most pictures here at work so I can not see your driod pic.

If the swirls looks like this, they can normally be removed. (These pics are an example from AutoGeek, not my own pictures)

Here is a 50/50 shot to show you that the swirls can be removed.

Yes, mine does the same thing. I think it is related to the drive by wire computer controlling everything. It's annoying, but normal.

Yeah those are light swirl marks--wouldn't be difficult to remove.

Last month I paid $27k for a 2007 Lariat with 13k miles, 4x4, Leather, Chrome package, Fabtech 6 inch lift, 35's on 20's, AMP Powersteps, bedcover, factory sub, nav, black-out tailights, grill, etc.

Sounds like you're looking at a stock Lariat...Keep looking or keep haggling. There are deals out there.

I just picked up an 07 Supercab XLT 4x4 with 60K on it and a sprayed in bedliner, for 18.5K They re-painted the hood, (Blisters by the chrome grille), and put in a new winshield, (Wiper scratches) to make the deal.
Keep looking!
They even gave me 8.5k on my 03 Supercrew with 140K miles on it, (I bought it 6 years ago for 11K)
