You would probably get more replies in the "Other Powertrain" form. Anyways, any 75-140 synthetic will work. Yes, it will take 5 quarts and I think I used 2 bottles of the ford friction mod to quiet things down.

Im pretty sure the Mobil 1 synthetic already has friction mod already added to it.

Yes it does take all 5 quarts, I'm not sure what kind of oil I am using, I know it is some sort of limited slip, which ran about $20 quart.

5 quarts of Schaeffer oil in mine and no friction modifier. I'm running a Detroit in the back.

If you have the stock L/S use two cans of friction modifier.

I run Royal Purple and still use two bottles of friction modifier as well even though it says it is not needed. Rather be safe then sorry and everything is running fine for almost 6 months now. Also, 5 quarts is correct.

I have been running the Royal Purple as is, no additional friction modifier for over a year now with no problems whatsoever.
