So the other day i decided to build a secret compartment if you want to call it that. The center console for the 08 f150 is so huge so i decided to build another door inside of the console because i like to keep my phone and work key out my pocket while im driving and i hate reaching down into the big console to dig threw alll my crap to get my phone or work keys. I wrapped it in some vinyl and here she is









It works perfect for me... all the stuff on the bottom is the stuff i dont use every day like gps, sunglasses, spare change, etc...srry its a little dirty on the top of the door

id like one a bit shorter. just tall enough to keep a pistol in.

 

Springfield XD 3" subcompact fits perfectly in the upper console its like it was custom made to hold it

Oh BTW I'm glad your phone in is there and not in your hand texting, etc.

 

i guess i will build one. i will take the pad out of my pistol case and put it in there too. hmm. maybe some leds.

 

The only problem I had building it was the console is an odd shape so I just had to keep sanding it to get a good fit...wit the vinyl it fits so tight I didn't even have to screw into the plastic
