My new MOOSE!

2006 KR 30K

Got my new Moose two nights ago....lets hope I can keep this one in one piece for a long long time.
Needs new ford emblems....probably will do some custom ones even have a few ideas for the emblems.
Already had a K&N cold air intake.
I think that it has a subwoofer under the back seat but it doesn't appear to be working. Not sure how to get to it either.

Anyway, hopefully I'll have some more pics soon. I'm super excited. It's been a tough few months since the wreck driving the old jeep with no A/C here in TN. Glad to have another BigMoosie!!!!

Nice truck. What stereo does it have, audiophile or the NAV unit? If the just the standard audiophile, there should be a menu under the audio settings that has sub volume, make sure it is up. The NAV system has no such menu and sub volume is mostly controlled by bass level setting.

I've got the audiophile so I'll give that sub volume in the menu thing a try after work!
Oh....and I've got this little black thing on the roof that I'm guessing is for satellite??

Yes the black thing on the roof is the satellite radio antenna.

No luck finding anything that controls the subwoofer. Even checked the manual and it doesn't mention anything about sub volume. Has typical clock stuff, bass, treble, fade, balance, and some speed volume thing that appears to make the volume drop when you slow down. I know I felt a speaker grill under the back seat.....but it's definitely not on.

As far as the wreck goes.....it eventually went to uninsured motorist and I battled with them for a few weeks until eventually they came around. I pretty much got everything back minus about $150 and that includes tax and title. So to be out only $150 after driving it for 2 months....pretty satisfied about that. Still haven't settled on the medical yet. Been doing some physical therapy for my neck and back.

Looks sweet! As I'm looking to purchase, what did you pay for New Moose?

So it definitely has the sub and amp. I don't think that the amp is getting any power though. The amp would warm up a bit with the engine on and the stereo running wouldn't it? Could it be a fuse? Any ideas of what and where I should check?

I'm thinking about getting custom emblems for the front and back. I want to do a play on the Texas Longhorns logo but instead of the longhorn outline.....a Moose!
