Seat Belt Warning

The seat belt warning in my truck has been disabled and I need to turn it back on. I followed the instructions (buckle 9 times) and all lights indicate the system is on, but NO WARNING. Does anyone have info on locating the beeper to see if it is unplugged or a connection under the seat that might be unplugged?

can you explain how you turned it off.....would work great when I'm camping and searching the road for fire wood so I don't have to listen to that damn thing.

I would try the reverse steps? not sure, never knew you could turn it off.

oooh I found something by searching the Interwebs! :-P

* The parking brake is set.
* The truck/car is in Park (automatic), Neutral (manual).
* The ignition is OFF.
* All doors are closed.
* The driver's safety belt is un-buckled.
* The parking and headlights are OFF.

Then follow these 9 steps:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, but DO NOT START.
2. Wait for the safety belt warning light to go OFF(1-2 minutes).

Steps 3-5 MUST be completed within 60 seconds!

3. Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.
4. Turn on the headlights, turn off the headlights.
5. Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.

After step 5, the Safety Belt Warning Light will be turned on for 3 seconds.

6. Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning light turning OFF, buckle then un-buckle the safety belt.

This will disable the Belt Minder if it is currently enabled, or enable the Belt Minder if it is currently disabled.

7. Confirmation of the disabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds.
8. Confirmation of the enabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with the safety belt light off, then followed by flashing the safety belt light 4 times per second for 3 seconds again.
9. After confirmation, the deactivation/activation of the Belt Minder procedure is complete.

page 119 of the owners manual...just did this and its awesome.

You just reverse the order you did to turn them off, and it will reactivate.

As stated above turn key to ON, do not crank
wait 1 min for seatbelt light to go off
buckle and unbuckle 9 times for the seat you wish to activate/deactivate (each seat has to be done seperately and the other seats cannot be fastened when you do it)
the air bag light will become lit
then within 10 second buckle and unbuckle once
air bag light flashes and you are done.

I've done all the reactivate manuvers - still no beep. Does anyone know if the beeper unplugs or a connection under the seat unplugs?

Its not supposed to "beep" when it goes on and off....just flash the air bag light on the dash
