Climbing curbs for Dummies:
First, you ease into the curb while riding the brake until you make contact then give it enough gas to pull on top, then brake going down the other side so you don't slam it. repeat same step for the rear of the truck. By doing this proven method you will not have a bent frame.

I had a 1973 Datsun p/u with 70 series 14" tires and a cab over camper and could climb curbs (like in the previously mentioned book) and NEVER bent anything!

wow. hit a curb at 10mph!

Let me fill you in on something. You can't treat these trucks like they do on the commercials. You know, driving fast over a field of boulders, dropping 3K into the bed from ten feet high, etc.

Those trucks on the commercials are toast after they are done with them.

you really hit a curb going 10 mph and bent your frame? Our trucks are strong, maybe you should go drive a tundra if you can't drive a ford right cause you dont do stupid stuff and bend your frame.

My buddie had an '82 Ford Courier - brings back memories, when we got stuck (sand or mud-usually the back end had dug itself in) both of us could pick up the back end and reposition the truck on solid ground - no need for 4WD! We beat the daylights out of that truck.

It's funny b/c I used the truck to go to Desert races and NEVER got stuck even with the 4 sleeper cab over camper on it! The wide tires plus the weight of the camper made it work real good. Back then lockers was something you did to your doors. Ha ha!
