Hitch Receiver

So.... I got up early this morning and headed over to Farm and Fleet to have a hitch receiver and wiring installed.

That was the plan.

When they quoted me for the service, they wanted 70 to install the receiver and 30 to install 'plug in' wiring.

How hard is it to install a hitch receiver? I am looking at getting a Class III/IV to haul a fishing boat and some fire wood when the old man and I go and start clearing out the new property he acquired.

Also, what brand do you recommend? And with the wiring, what is the best plug in after market towing wiring?

Thanks.

easy to do depending on what brand of receiver you have. i think hidden hitch bolts right to the frame and the holes might already be there. the wiring is easy. take the tail lights out and there are instructions online

Go to etrailer.com. I just ordered my whole towing package and brake controller. I'll be installing it myself when I'm home for thanksgiving break...the wiring is all plug and play with Ford adapters. They've got some how-to videos on the website too
